On the evening of Friday 19-November, Manuel Márquez-Sterling will deliver a talk in Los Angeles on his book, Cuba 1952-1959: The True Story of Castro's Rise to Power. The talk will be followed by a question and answer period and book signing. The program begins at 7:00 pm.

On November 20 Prof. Márquez-Sterling will deliver another talk in Los Angeles, at the Mexican Revolution Centennial event organized by the Cervantes Center. In that presentation he will highlight the involvement of his grandfather (Manuel Márquez-Sterling [1872-1934]) as a Cuban diplomat in the Mexican Revolution.
